AUSCHWITZ-BIRKENAU FORMER GERMAN NAZI CONCENTRATION AND EXTERMINATION CAMP
The film "The Zone of Interest," directed and written by Jonathan Glazer, depicting the family life of an Auschwitz camp commandant, has received the Grand Prix as well as the FIPRESCI award at the 76th Cannes Film Festival. The production was created in cooperation with the Auschwitz Museum.
At the International Book Fair in Turin, the Museum Publishing House presented the Italian edition of the latest publication by Auschwitz survivor Bogdan Bartnikowski titled "Ritorni ad Auschwitz" (Returns to Auschwitz).
Top-level managers of Bayer AG from Germany visited the Auschwitz Memorial on 8-12 May and took part in a pilot seminar organized by the International Center for Education about Auschwitz in the Holocaust.
The International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust at the Auschwitz Memorial begins the call for participants in the international educational conference “The Tools of «Here and Now» in Teaching about «Then» – New Technologies in Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust” that will take place on June 27-29, 2023 in Oświęcim.
