Pilot seminar for German and Polish teachers - Call for Participants

The International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust at the Auschwitz Museum, together with the Buchenwald and Sachsenhausen Memorials, is introducing a pilot seminar entitled "How to Deal with a Difficult Past? - Educational Perspectives on National Socialism, Shoah, and the Second World War" for teachers from Germany and Poland.

30th March of the Living

The 30th March of the Living was held at the site of the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz on 18 April 2023. It was led by a group of about 40 Auschwitz and Holocaust Survivors. The President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, also attended the main ceremony.

The Museum has launched a two-year project for the conservation of children's shoes belonging to victims of Auschwitz

The Museum Conservation Laboratories initiated a two-year project to conserve approximately 8,000 children's shoes that are part of the Memorial Collections. These shoes are a poignant symbol of the suffering of the youngest victims of the German Nazi Auschwitz camp.

"Auschwitz. Not long ago. Not far away" exhibition opened at the Reagan Library in California

The exhibition 'Auschwitz. Not Long Ago. Not Far Away' created by the Museum and the Spanish company Musealia was opened at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California's Simi Valley. More than 30,000 people purchased presale tickets, and the exhibition is expected to be the most attended in the library’s history. The official opening ceremony on 23 March 2013 was hosted by CNN journalist Wolf Blitzer.
