AUSCHWITZ-BIRKENAU FORMER GERMAN NAZI CONCENTRATION AND EXTERMINATION CAMP
An interactive multibook summarising the visit to the Auschwitz Memorial is a proposal by the International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust for young people who visited the Memorial. It is available in two languages: Polish and English.
On the occasion of the publication of the Dutch translation of the book "In the Crematoriums of Auschwitz" by Auschwitz survivor and Sonderkommando member Filip Müller, a meeting titled "Culture of Genocide" took place on June 2 at the deBalie cultural center in Amsterdam. The conversation was between Dr. Piotr M. A. Cywiński, the director of the Auschwitz Museum, and a writer Arnon Grunberg.
The film "The Zone of Interest," directed and written by Jonathan Glazer, depicting the family life of an Auschwitz camp commandant, has received the Grand Prix as well as the FIPRESCI award at the 76th Cannes Film Festival. The production was created in cooperation with the Auschwitz Museum.
At the International Book Fair in Turin, the Museum Publishing House presented the Italian edition of the latest publication by Auschwitz survivor Bogdan Bartnikowski titled "Ritorni ad Auschwitz" (Returns to Auschwitz).
Top-level managers of Bayer AG from Germany visited the Auschwitz Memorial on 8-12 May and took part in a pilot seminar organized by the International Center for Education about Auschwitz in the Holocaust.
Images from www.auschwitz.org may be used only in publications relating to the history of the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau or the activities of the Auschwitz Memorial. Their use must not tarnish the good reputation of the victims of KL Auschwitz. Any interference in the integrity of the images – including cropping or graphic processing – is prohibited. The use of the images for commercial purposes requires the Museum’s approval and information about the publication.
