33rd session of the International Auschwitz Council

Events related to the 70th anniversary of the creation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, summary of activities of the IAC in its six years of office, and analysis of the challenges facing Memorial Sites located in Poland were some of the topics of the 33rd session of the International Auschwitz Council, which was held at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister in Warsaw on 13 November, presided by Prof. Barbara Engelking. The Deputy Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Jarosław Sellin attended the meeting.
7th session of the International Committee of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation

Representatives of the donor countries supporting the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation's Endowment Fund met on October 24 in Oświecim for the 7th session of the International Committee. They had the opportunity to see, for the first time the progress of conservation works at the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, which are funded by the Foundation.
"Memoria" - a new monthly online magazine dedicated to Memory

The memory of the Shoah, concentration camps, extermination centers and other areas of the human tragedy of World War II is being created around the world in many places and by several people. The new monthly magazine "Memoria", of which first edition has just been published, is meant to be a place, where we will write and talk about our collective efforts and mission to preserve memory.

Gusen. Granite and death, memory and oblivion

The temporary exhibition “Gusen. Granite and death, memory and oblivion” dedicated to the history of the German Nazi concentration camp Gusen is on display at the temporary exhibition hall in Block 12 of the former Auschwitz I camp. The exhibition was prepared by the Museum of Polish History in cooperation with the Polish-German Reconciliation Foundation.
