“Far removed. Austria and Auschwitz” is the title of a new Austrian national exhibition opened on 4 October in Block 17 at the former German Nazi Auschwitz I camp.

The results of the competition for the artistic and architectural-construction concept of the exhibition, entitled “Poles in KL Auschwitz. Residents of the Oświęcim region during World War II”, which in the foreseeable future will be located in Block 15 on the site of the former Auschwitz I camp.

The 16th session of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation Council, tasked with financing the preservation of the authentic remains of the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, was held in Warsaw on 28 September.

Thanks to the technological support of Orange Polska, the Auschwitz Museum will have modern infrastructure, providing high-speed, efficient internet access (5G/4G, fiber optic internet, and wireless) at the entire area of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum. This way, the facility will become even more accessible, also to those who cannot visit it in person. An agreement regarding this matter was signed on September 14 by Orange, the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, and the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation.

"Biographies as sources of knowledge about the Holocaust and Auschwitz" is the title of an online methodological conference for teachers held on 28 and 29 August.

"From the Litzmannstadt Ghetto to KL Auschwitz" is the title of the online educational session that will be held on 7 October 2021 to commemorate the 77th anniversary of the deportation of Jews from the Lodz Ghetto to the German Nazi Auschwitz camp. The session will be translated into English.
