On January 27, more than 200 Auschwitz and Holocaust Survivors met in front of the Death Gate at the former Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp.

The speaker of the United States House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi visited the Auschwitz Memorial and Museum on 21 January. The delegation also included members of the United States Congress. The guests were welcomed by the deputy director of the Museum, Anna Skrzypińska.

A unique historical object has enriched the Collections of the Auschwitz Museum. It is a photo album framed in a cover made of human skin. Research by Museum experts indicates that it could have been created at the German concentration camp in Buchenwald.

"Jews from the Lodz Ghetto in KL Auschwitz" is a new online lesson prepared by the International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust. Its author is Dr. Adam Sitarek, from the Center for Jewish Research at the University of Łódź. The lesson is available in Polish, English and Hebrew.
