Auschwitz Memorial on-line lesson in four new languages

The on-line lesson “Auschwitz — Concentration and Extermination Camp“, which focuses on the most important topics in the history of this Nazi German camp, has been translated into four new languages: Arabic, Persian, Portuguese and Spanish. The Auschwitz Memorial is a pioneer of e-learning in institutions of this kind in Europe. The lesson is already avaiable in Polish and English.

We invite all people who are interested in Auschwitz-related issues and Holocaust education to the International Summer Academy 2014 – a seminar organised in English and German. In particular, we would like to invite teachers, educators, museum personnel and employees of those institutions that deal with the history of the Second World War.
Loaned historical barrack returned to Poland

Half of the original prisoners' wooden barracks from the Nazi German concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz II—Birkenau returned to Poland after more than two decades of being loaned to the United States Holocaust Museum in Washington. This historical object arrived by sea to the port of Gdynia.
