The story of the transports of Jews deported from Hungary to the Nazi German concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz 70 years ago, in summer 1944, will be available to follow at the Auschwitz Memorial Facebook page, as well as through other social media of the Museum.

The full catalogue of the Auschwitz Museum Library is now available online at www.auschwitz.org. The multilingual collection of books is one of the largest covering the history of the Nazi German Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp. The collection is constantly updated with new publications.

„Auschwitz — History — Civic Education” is a multidimensional educational project addressed to correction officers and other employees of the Prison Service as well as to the prison inmates. In the educational process carried out in penitentiaries teaching about what happened in Auschwitz serves in particular the history of Auschwitz and the memory of those who suffered or died there, but it also shows what contempt and hatred can lead to.

The Auschwitz Museum exhibition “People of Good Will” is presented in front of the Library in Oświęcim. It shows portraits of some of the citizens of Oświęcim and other towns nearby who helped prisoners of the Nazi German concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz.

The seminar „Auschwitz —History and Symbolism” organized by International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust with cooperation with Terezin Memorial Site is now completed.

Kgalema Motlanthe, Vice-President of the Republic of South Africa, visited the Auschwitz Memorial and Museum on March 15. It was a part of his official visit to Poland. The guest was welcomed by Anna Skrzypińska, Deputy director of the Museum.
