Auschwitz III - Block 43

The camp in Monowice (Auschwitz III Monowitz-Buna)  was one of the first and also the largest of the Auschwitz sub camps. Finally it became the central for all 30 “industrial” sub camps where prisoners were employed as slaves.

 

Description of document

Archive collection of a register of prisoners from block 43 include names of prisoners-men of different nationalities imprisoned in barrack 43 in Auschwitz III-Monowitz. In each column of the document is different category of information: prisoners camp numbers, names, first names, nationality, profession, working sqout (commando). For some names put the comments with annotations on transfers, or stay in the camp hospital. The document includes 305 personal records.
