The More I Know the Less I Understand is a joint publication of International Centre for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust and The University of British Columbia in Vancouver, which includes selected essays of students who participated in three editions of the research seminar “Witnessing Auschwitz – Conflicting Stories and Memories” organised by the Auschwitz Memorial.

“Awareness – Responsibility – Future” was the title of the international educational conference dedicated to education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust. It was part of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum. The Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Prof. Piotr Gliński assumed honorary patronage over the conference.
Face to Face. Art in Auschwitz. Exhibition at the National Museum in Cracow.

"Face to Face. Art in Auschwitz”, is the title of a unique exhibition in the Szołayski Tenement House, a branch of the National Museum in Cracow. It was prepared on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Museum on the premises of the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp. It is the first of such comprehensive presentations of original works created in the camp by Auschwitz prisoners. The Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Prof. Piotr Gliński, has assumed honorary patronage over the exhibition.

New, huge investments at the Memorial Site related to visitors’ service and education, conservation works at the former camp premises, events related to the 70th anniversary of the creation of the State Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau, as well as the situation at the Memorial Sites in Płaszów, Sobibor and Treblinka, were some of the issues addressed at the 32nd session of the IAC (International Auschwitz Council), which took place in Oswiecim on 2 and 3 July chaired by Prof. Barbara Engelking. The Deputy Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Jarosław Sellin was also in attendance.
