Hear the Voice of Survivors. 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz.

On January 27, 2015, during the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the German Nazi Concentration and Extermination Camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, the eyes of the world will be focused on about 300 Survivors who will stand in front of the Death Gate of Auschwitz II-Birkenau. The organizers of the events are the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum and the International Auschwitz Council.
Auschwitz Legacies – the catalogue of the Collections of the Auschwitz Memorial

For the first time in its history the Auschwitz Memorial has published the catalogue of its Collections. The album presents in a very comprehensive manner the authentic items related to the history of the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp. These are both thousands of personal objects which belonged to the victims of Auschwitz as well as documents and things left behind by the SS men from the camp garrison.

Polish-English report summarizing the year 2014 in the Auschwitz Memorial and Museum has been published. In his introduction, director Dr. Piotr M.A. Cywiński emphasized the importance of the history of Auschwitz, which finished almost exactly 70 years ago at the time of liberation, for the modern world.

In connection with the 70th anniversary of the Nazi German Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp, a completely renewed version of the website of the Memorial Site and Museum is available at www.auschwitz.org. Work on the new version of the website was possible thanks to the support of the companies, Drive Creative Group from Canada and Ideo from Rzeszów, Poland.
The „Forbidden Art” exhibit and debate about genocide at the UN

On the occasion of the approaching 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi German Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp, the "Forbidden Art" exhibition was launched in the UN Headquarters in New York. Before its opening a special debate devoted to the issue of counteracting genocides was held.
