International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust announces recruitment for the Fifth International Summer Academy that is organized as part of educational programs offered by the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum. This year’s edition will take place from16 till 22 August in Oświęcim and Cracow, Poland.

"Auschwitz - Memorial Site" is a new online lesson of the Museum, whose main task is to prepare for a visit to the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp.

“Auschwitz after the liberation” is the new publication of the Museum, written by Dr. Jacek Lachendro, historian from the Research Center, in connection with the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. It is most of all the history of what happened in the premises of the former German Nazi Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp from the moment of liberation until the creation of the State Museum in 1947. This topic is also discussed in the new online lesson of the Auschwitz Memorial.

On January 27, about 300 Survivors, witnesses of the history of Auschwitz, have met in front of the Death Gate of the former Birkenau camp in order to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp.

“The Liberation and Evacuation of Auschwitz" and "Sonderkommando" are two new digital exhibitions of the Auschwitz Museum on the Google Cultural Institute platform prepared in connection with the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi German Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp. They are available in two language versions, in Polish and English.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of German Nazi Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp, the collection of 14 essays written by Dr. Piotr MA Cywiński who for over 8 years has been director of the world's most famous Memorial Site and symbol of the Shoah has been published in English.
