MEMORIAL AND MUSEUM
AUSCHWITZ-BIRKENAU FORMER GERMAN NAZI CONCENTRATION AND EXTERMINATION CAMP
After an adjournment of over one year, the District Court in Bielsko-Biala reopened proceedings in the suit by the Maja SA Corporation, developers of a commercial center located close to the Auschwitz camp site, against the State Treasury.
A group of Yad Vashem staff members spent two weeks at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum as part of the cooperation program established between the two institutions several years ago.
A newspaper article appeared on the so-called "Little Red House," pointing out serious shortcomings in the new law on the protection of memorial sites.
