German support for a special scholarship programme for Ukrainian conservators at the Memorial

Germany allocated EUR 180 thousand to the financing of a special scholarship programme for Ukrainian conservators carried out by the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation and the Auschwitz Museum. On December 1st, the agreement concerning the project was signed at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Warsaw by the Ambassador of Germany to Poland Dr Thomas Bagger, Director General of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation Wojciech Soczewica and its Financial Director Elwir Świętochowski.

New online lesson: "Medical crimes at KL Auschwitz"

"Medical crimes at KL Auschwitz" is a new online lesson of the Museum. It discusses mainly the history of experiments that German doctors conducted on prisoners of Auschwitz. It was created by Teresa Wontor-Cichy from the Research Center of the Museum.

BIM digital building information modelling technology supports conservation at the Auschwitz Museum

After several years of preparation and testing, as part of the ongoing project to implement BIM (Building Information Modelling), a BIM model of the state of preservation and condition of a fully conserved brick prisoner barracks at the Auschwitz II-Birkenau site was created at the Museum. The result is a faithful, three-dimensional image of the building, with available data and related information associated with the building.

'Auschwitz. Not Long Ago. Not Far Away' in Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California from March 2023

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California's Simi Valley will be the next location of the exhibition 'Auschwitz. Not Long Ago. Not Far Away' created by the Museum and the Spanish company Musealia. It is scheduled to open at the end of March 2023. Until January 2023, the exhibition can be seen in Malmö, Sweden.

Online education session: Medicine at Auschwitz - 1 December
