MEMORIAL AND MUSEUM AUSCHWITZ-BIRKENAU FORMER GERMAN NAZI
CONCENTRATION AND EXTERMINATION CAMP

ICEAH

The International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust

The International Centre for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust, established by a decision of the Polish government on the initiative of former prisoners, accomplishes the educational mission of the Museum. You can learn about Auschwitz and the Holocaust everywhere.
However, it is at the Auschwitz-Birkenau that you will learn not only the history of the camp operations and obtain direct access to the accounts and memories of witnesses but also see for yourself the Holocaust testimony, remains of the crematoria, gas chambers and other remains of the former camp.

The common form of education since the beginning of the Museum is a guided tour of the grounds of the former camp by guides properly trained in terms of content and language.

The centre offers those interested in deepening their knowledge a number of specialized classes, aimed primarily at teachers, researchers, students and school children. In addition, ICEAH offers educational publications, including educational packages and lesson plans.
