First general plan of the Auschwitz redevelopment from June 1941. A housing development for the SS was located at the site, which collided with the plans of the urban architect Stosberg, who in his designs located the southern part of the housing development for Deutsche Bahn railway workers in the same space.

Second plan of the Auschwitz concentration camp expansion from February 1942 is a more developed concept and detailed version of the former plan.  In addition, a new facility for a major crematorium is located next to the existing crematorium at the main camp.

General plan of the Auschwitz redevelopment from summer 1942. The SS housing development is still located at the site which collides with the plans of the urban architect Hans Stosberg. The conflict over the area lasted almost a year. The border between the town and camp was moved and in the end the SS housing development was relocated.
