Subsequent language versions of the interactive multibook designed to prepare visitors to a visit at the Auschwitz Memorial are available on the Museum website: French, German, Italian, and Spanish.

'The tool can help young people understand the importance of visiting a former concentration camp site as a history lesson and personal experience. We are aware of the importance of education in one's language. To this end, we provide tours of the historic site in various languages. We also strive to make more and more material available online in new versions,' said Agnieszka Juskowiak-Sawicka, head of E-learning at the International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust.

So far, the multibook has been available in Polish and English.

The multibook contains several short videos, background information on the creation of Auschwitz, and a timeline of the most critical events in the history of this German Nazi concentration and extermination camp.

'The whole is complemented by a message from Auschwitz survivor Marian Turski, which emphasises the importance of remembering the tragedy of Auschwitz and the Holocaust for shaping our moral attitudes and contemporary responsibility for the world around us,' stressed Agnieszka Juskowiak-Sawicka.

The multibook also features the voices of young people, students of the Leon Kruczkowski Secondary School in Tychy, students of the Maria Grzegorzewska Lower Silesian Special School and Education Centre No. 12 for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students and those with other disabilities in Wrocław, who talk about the significance of their visit to the Memorial from a personal perspective.

Users will also find information on what they shall see during their visit and tips on how to behave during the tour.

The use of the multibook is free of charge and also possible on mobile devices.
