Drawings by Walter Spitzer, a former prisoner of German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz are presented on a new temporary exhibition entitled “For the price of survival I made a pact”.

Representatives of the countries which have supported the Perpetual Capital of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation attended the 5th Meeting of the International Committee of the Foundation, which took place on October 13th in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister in Warsaw.

Ongoing major conservation works and investment projects related to the education and service of visitors were some of the topics on the agenda of the International Auschwitz Council. The 29th session of the IAC, which was held on October 12 in the Chancellery of the Polish Prime Minister in Warsaw, was chaired by Prof. Barbara Engelking.

The second part of the seminar for Czech and Polish educators ended on 4 October 2015. The seminar, devoted to the history of the Theresienstadt Ghetto was jointly prepared by the International Centre for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum and the Terezin Memorial Site. The seminar was attended by 29 teachers and educators from Poland and the Czech Republic, who are involved as part of their professional careers and interests, in the history of the former Auschwitz camp, the Holocaust and II World War.

The International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum will hold an expert conference on education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust "Remembrance has not matured in us yet..." from 26-29 October 2015.

Auschwitz Museum received two cars as a gift from Volkswagen AG and the International Auschwitz Committee.
