Approximately 70 titles issued by the Auschwitz Museum are now available as e-books. These include the most popular ones, such as memoirs of witnesses, as well as popular science studies and educational books.
On 6 October in Logroño, in the autonomous community of La Rioja, the establishment of the National Institute of Auschwitz-Birkenau in Spain was officially announced, which will support the activities of the Auschwitz Museum Diplomacy of Remembrance in the country.
In July, we informed about a very emotional discovery in one of the children’s shoes. A handmade inscription was found in it bearing the name of the child to which it belonged - Amos Steinberg. Following further detailed research in the Collections, it turned out that there was a suitcase at the Memorial, which most likely belonged to the boy’s father. We also obtained more information from the family of Amos.
The 14th session of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation Council took place on 16 September in Warsaw. The main task of the Foundation is to finance the conservation of the authentic remains of the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau.
Images from www.auschwitz.org may be used only in publications relating to the history of the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau or the activities of the Auschwitz Memorial. Their use must not tarnish the good reputation of the victims of KL Auschwitz. Any interference in the integrity of the images – including cropping or graphic processing – is prohibited.
