MEMORIAL AND MUSEUM
AUSCHWITZ-BIRKENAU FORMER GERMAN NAZI CONCENTRATION AND EXTERMINATION CAMP
A group of Yad Vashem staff members spent two weeks at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum as part of the cooperation program established between the two institutions several years ago.
A newspaper article appeared on the so-called "Little Red House," pointing out serious shortcomings in the new law on the protection of memorial sites.
Former Auschwitz concentration camp prisoner Dina Gottliebova visited the Museum in the company of her daughter, her lawyer, and an NBC television crew. She is demanding the return of watercolors of Gypsies that she painted on orders from Dr. Mengele.
