The exhibition “German Nazi Death Camp Konzentrationslager Auschwitz” was opened in Italy in the city of Latina.

Paweł Sawicki International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust announces recruitment for the Third International Summer Academy that is organized as part of educational programs offered by the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum. This year’s edition will take place from June 29 till July 4 in Oświęcim and Cracow, Poland.

On 15 March, 35 individuals began classes for the XIII edition of the postgraduate studies “Totalitarianism — Nazism — Holocaust.” After the inauguration ceremony and the handing out of indexes, they listened to a lecture entitled, “A trip into the past,” by Halina Birenbaum, Israeli poet and writer, who was a former prisoner of Auschwitz....

The original diary, written during the war in occupied Warsaw by sixteen-year-old Anna Hinel, was given to the Museum Archives. The author perished in the Nazi German concentration camp and extermination camp of Auschwitz 70 years ago on 19 March 1943. She was 19 years old at the time.

The first number of the English language Auschwitz Studies has been published by the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum. The Studies have been available for 55 years in Polish and — as Hefte von Auschwitz — in German. Auschwitz Studies will replace the German language version.

“Above the ashes” is the title of a temporary exhibition by the French author Alexandra Bellamy which to 10 March will be presented at Auschwitz Museum in the temporary exhibition hall in block 12.
