The 28th session of the International Auschwitz Council

The challenges related to the growing number of visitors to the Auschwitz Memorial, work on the new main exhibition of the Museum, as well as the summary of commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz were some of the topics of the International Auschwitz Council (IAC) meeting. The 28th session of the Council, which took place in Oświęcim on 1 and 2 June was chaired by Prof. Barbara Engelking. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister for Culture and National Heritage Piotr Żuchowski.
International Summer Academy in German - recruitment information

We are pleased to announce the opening of the Third International Summer Academy in German organized by the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, as part of educational programs organized at the International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust. It will take place on August – 28 August 2015. Application deadline is July 10, 2015.

20 Canadian students participated in a 12 days research seminar “Witnessing Auschwitz – Conflicting Stories and Memories”, which was organized by the International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in conjunction with the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
