Visits of Presidents of Croatia, Greece and Hungary to the Auschwitz Memorial and Museum

In recent days, the Auschwitz Memorial and Museum was visited by three European presidents. On October 9th, the President of Croatia, Zoran Milanović, and on October 12th, the President of Greece, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, and the President of Hungary, Tamás Sulyok.

Fourteen individuals from Australia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and the United States participated in the Volunteer Academy at the Auschwitz Museum. Organized by the International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust and the Museum's Archive, the project was conducted in an on-site format for the first time and attracted significant interest. Participants were among the first groups to use the newly opened Museum hostel located adjacent to the Memorial Site.

Online lesson "Auschwitz – Concentration and Extermination Camp" Available in Japanese

14th session of the International Committee of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation

On 1 October in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland in Warsaw, the 14th Session of the International Committee of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation took place, with representatives from countries supporting the Foundation's efforts to preserve the Auschwitz Memorial Site. Besides matters related to the conservation of the Memorial, an important topic of discussion was the upcoming 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.
