“432. Marian Kołodziej. Magister vitae" — educational session

					An educational session devoted to the life and work of former Auschwitz prisoner Marian Kołodziej, one of the leading Polish theatre set designers after World War II, was held on 2 October 2013. It was organised by the International Centre for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust and the St Maximilian Kolbe Centre in Harmęże, which presents an exhibition of the work of Marian Kołodziej entitled “Klisze Pamięci”.					
				
			International Auschwitz Council on Education Centre

					Problems with the seat of the International Centre of Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust at the Auschwitz Museum were the main subject of the meeting of the International Auschwitz Council. The XXV meeting, which was held in Warsaw on 2 October, was presided over by prof. Władysław Bartoszewski. Also present was the Vice Minister of Culture and National Heritage, prof. Małgorzata Omilanowska.					
				
			The historic building of the so-called little potato warehouse under the care of the Museum

					The so-called little potato warehouse, located within the immediate vicinity of the Birkenau camp, has come under the care of the Museum. In the near future it will be rebuilt. The historic building of the Nazi German concentration and extermination camp will house technical support for preservation work carried out at the Auschwitz Memorial.					
				
			“Theresienstadt family camp” — temporary exhibition

					The exhibition is devoted to the history of the ghetto established by the Nazis in the Czech Terezin (Theresienstadt) and the fate of Jews deported from Terezin to the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp of Auschwitz. It can be seen in the temporary exhibition hall located in block 12 at the Museum.
