Cultural topics are indeed sprinkled throughout this issue. On the pages of the Museum you will find information about a concert, which took place at the Oświęcim music school. Once again, French musicians of the Ensemble Voix Étouffées visited our city. Together with the students in the school’s choir, they performed a concert version of the children’s opera Brundibár by Hans Krása. In this Oś, you will be able to read the extraordinary history of this opera composed in 1938.

The exhibition of paintings by Raphael Chwoles, entitled Vilnius and the Entire World is presented by the International Youth Meeting Center. It will include works showing the cityscapes of Vilnius as well as Paris, portraits, Jewish themes, and symbolic paintings of abstract figures. Moreover, the Jewish Center proposes a meeting with literature. On May 31 there will be a promotion of the third, expanded edition of the book Dotknięcie anioła [Touch of an Angel] and a meeting with the author Henryk Schönker.

We also draw your attention to the story of a young German volunteer named Sebastian Schlegel, who is finishing his work at the Center for Dialogue and Prayer.
