New English language edition of Auschwitz Memorial monthly magazine "Oś"
In mid-November the Auschwitz Museum was visited by Batsheva Dagan, an Israeli writer and former Auschwitz prisoner, as well as author of the poetry collection, Imagination: Blessed Be, Cursed Be. In this Oś, you will find an interview with Batsheva Dagan, a selection of her poems, and an article about her meeting with teachers and students.
On the pages of the Auschwitz Museum, we also write about the original books from the camp hospital, which have found their way into the Archives, as well as about the 20th meeting of the International Auschwitz Council.
In this Oś we are also summing up two projects: Human rights begin with the rights of children and young people at the International Youth Meeting Center, which was attended by 30 students from the Stanisław Konarski Liceum [High School] and Liceum Mistrzostwa Sportowego [Sports Championship High School] in Oświęcim, as well as Why do we need tolerance? at the Jewish Center. We encourage you to read two essays written by participants of the
latter project.
On the pages of the Center for Dialogue and Prayer you will find an article on the Train of Rememberance project. We also draw your attention to the articles about two meetings at the IYMC. A guest of yet another European Conversations was the Israeli embassy spokesman in Poland Michał Sobelman, while the November 35th Cracow Poetry Salon was dedicated to Prof. Jadwiga Toczek. On the last page, there is a photo essay of the event.
