Mass Murder of European Jews at Auschwitz. Educational session
In April at the International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust in the State Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau, an educational session was held, entitled, The Mass Murder of European Jews at Auschwitz. More than 100 participants took part in the meeting, they were mainly high school students and teachers.
Museum historians told about “The Final Solution of the Jewish Question” (PhD Piotr Setkiewicz) and mass murder devices in KL Auschwitz (PhD Igor Bartosik). The latter lecture took place at the ruins of the Gas Chambers in Auschwitz II - Birkenau.
Participants also visited the temporary exhibit, We Were People Just Like All Other People on Earth. We had families, friends, a home…, where dozens of every day items belonging to individuals, overwhelmingly those who were Jewish, who the Nazis deported to Auschwitz.
