Disco but seriously. The International Auschwitz Council in Session
The legal situation regarding the gravel pit adjacent to the Museum, the projects of the Maja Corporation, and the future fate of the tannery following the recent decision by the governor of Malopolska province on the liquidation of the discotheque there were discussed at the third meeting of the International Auschwitz Council.
Polish foreign minister Władyslaw Bartoszewski, the chairman of the council, conducted the meeting. Oswiecim vice-mayor Wlodzimierz Paluch, village chief officer Andrzej Bibrzycki, council chairman Jozef Strycharski, and Oswiecim starost Adam Bilski represented the local government.
