Direct link – A Network of Remembrance
For the exhibit “The Track. Logistics of Racial Mania” (May 19 – October 31, 2010) a permanent live internet connection has been installed between Memorial and Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau and the Documentation Centre on the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds in Nuremberg. This place of genocide is linked to the place where the Racial Laws where proclaimed in 1935.
Thus the distance which once served to hide the Nazi atrocities is made to disappear. In the same way a broader public can inform themselves about the present shape of the memorial site.
You will find more information on the project and see the livecams on the website. The pictures of the livestream will not be recorded or stored; also single individuals visiting Auschwitz Memorial will not be recognizable.
