Auschwitz - History, Memory and Education. First International Summer Academy.
We are pleased to announce the opening of the First International Summer Academy organized by the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in Oświęcim, Poland, as part of educational programs offered by its International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust.
The Summer Academy addresses teachers, educators, researchers and all those who are interested in the historical, religious and sociological aspects of Auschwitz and the Holocaust. The program will include modules concerning academic research in the field, commemoration and preservation of authentic historical sites as well as reflection on how memory of Auschwitz and the Holocaust can be incorporated into educational values of modern civic societies.

Application Deadline: 14 June 2010
Cost: 400 Euro (covers program, accommodation, half-board, transportation to Cracow on the last day)
All participant will receive certificates.
