An Exhibition by Halina Olomucka
An exhibition opened in Neustadt-Glewe of works by former Auschwitz prisoner Halina Olomucka, in connection with the album of her selected works, Krzyk (The Scream), published by the Memorial and Museum. Halina Olomucka has previously shown her work in Asia, Europe, and North and South America.
This was her first exhibition in Germany. Those at the opening included Museum staff members Dorota Ryszka and Ewa Pasterak, as well as Krystyna Marszalekl, president of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Death Camp Victims Memorial Fund. Their stay in Neustadt-Glewe also gave the Museum staff members a chance to contact female former prisoners and to give them questionnaires prepared by the Section for former Prisoners' Affairs, and material on the activities of the Memorial and the Foundation.
