The Volkswagen AG company together with the International Auschwitz Committee donated a bus to the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum. It will become a free-of-charge shuttle bus for transporting visitors between the two parts of the former Nazi German concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz, which are located over 2 kilometres apart from each other.

Personal items from the German Nazi Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp as well as original camp letters from the former prisoner Kazimiera Gruszczyńska were donated to the Museum Archives and Collection. The items were donated by her daughter - Lucyna Gruszczyńska-Jeleńska.

In Terezin the seminar dedicated to the history of the extermination of the Jews prepared by Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial Site, Institute of National Remembrance and Terezin Memorial Site is now completed.

At the end of June and the beginning of July, participants from, among others, Sweden, Norway, Romania, United States, South Korea and United Kingdom took part in the fourth International Summer Academy, an English-language seminar organised by the International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust.

The beginnings of the extermination of Jews in KL Auschwitz in the light of the source materials - a new publication of the Museum, through the analysis of 74 archival documents, most of them previously unpublished, describes preparation to the mass extermination of Jews in gas chambers and the process of turning Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp into a centre of mass extermination. Authors of the analysis are historians of the Research Center of the Museum: Igor Bartosik, Łukasz Martyniak and Piotr Setkiewicz.

The "Forbidden Art" exhibition is currently on display at Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library Museum and Boyhood Home in Abilene, Kansas, the place where the general and president of the United States was born and brought up, which is also the site of his burial. The exhibition prepared by the Auschwitz Memorial presents stories behind 20 artworks made illegally by prisoners of Nazi German concentration camps who risked their lives to complete them.
