The "If not for those ten..." awards were presented at the international educational conference titled "Tools from the «here and now» in teaching about the «then» - new technologies in education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust". They are presented to volunteers and representatives of institutions that support volunteering at the Memorial.

New technologies in education about the history of Auschwitz and the Holocaust was the subject of an international conference held on June 27-29 at the Auschwitz Memorial.

'Memoria' is an online magazine dedicated to the history of Auschwitz, the Holocaust as well as memory and education around the world.

On 20 June, the 18th Session of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation Council took place at the Warsaw headquarters of Deloitte Poland, a long-time corporate donor to the Foundation. The mission of the Foundation is to safeguard the preservation of the genuine remains of the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau and to support the educational activities of the Memorial.

14 June 1940 is considered the beginning of the functioning of the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz. On that day, the Germans deported a group of 728 Poles from the Tarnów prison to Auschwitz. The group included soldiers who had fought against the German invasion in September 1939, members of underground independence organisations, secondary school and university students, and a small number of Polish Jews. They were given numbers from 31 to 758.

Adapting visits to the Auschwitz Memorial Site to people with hearing disabilities, and removing the barriers associated with organising a visit to the Museum, are the main objectives of the "Auschwitz - accessible memory" project.
