AUSCHWITZ-BIRKENAU FORMER GERMAN NAZI CONCENTRATION AND EXTERMINATION CAMP
The International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust at the Auschwitz Memorial will organize two editions of the International Summer Academy in 2026 – the 1st and 2nd level seminars.
The International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust invites to a webinar titled: “It Was a Different World, a Place Living Its Own Life. The Women Camp in KL Auschwitz.” The webinar will take place 26 March 2026 on the Zoom platform and will include simultaneous interpretation into English.
Prof. Marina Pignatelli has been appointed Honorary Consul of the Auschwitz Memorial in Portugal. She will support the actions undertaken by the Diplomacy of Remembrance of the Auschwitz Museum in this country.
More than 200,000 students from over 10,000 Italian schools took part on 26 January in a special, showcase online visit to the Auschwitz Memorial Site. This was made possible thanks to the platform “Auschwitz. In Front of Your Eyes”.
Images from www.auschwitz.org may be used only in publications relating to the history of the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau or the activities of the Auschwitz Memorial. Their use must not tarnish the good reputation of the victims of KL Auschwitz. Any interference in the integrity of the images – including cropping or graphic processing – is prohibited.
