“Antisemitism and Hate Crimes” was the title of a training course for 33 judges and prosecutors from the Member States of the European Union, which took place at the Auschwitz Memorial on 7 October 2021. The training was organised as part of training activities of the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN), and the organisation of the event was possible thanks to the cooperation of the International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust in partnership with the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution.
The Museum collections have been enriched with new artworks by Wincenty Gawron, a survivor of the German Nazi Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and extermination camp and member of the camp resistance movement. The works have been donated by his daughter, Margaret Jablonsky.
The International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust and the Center for Polish-Russian Dialogue and Understanding invite to an online education session devoted to the 80th anniversary of the deportations of Soviet prisoners of war to Auschwitz.
The "Auschwitz. Not long ago. Not far away" exhibition will open in Swedish city of Malmö in May 2022. The information was announced at The Malmö International Forum on Holocaust Remembrance and Combating Antisemitism held on 14 October.
“Far removed. Austria and Auschwitz” is the title of a new Austrian national exhibition opened on 4 October in Block 17 at the former German Nazi Auschwitz I camp.
The results of the competition for the artistic and architectural-construction concept of the exhibition, entitled “Poles in KL Auschwitz. Residents of the Oświęcim region during World War II”, which in the foreseeable future will be located in Block 15 on the site of the former Auschwitz I camp.
Images from www.auschwitz.org may be used only in publications relating to the history of the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau or the activities of the Auschwitz Memorial. Their use must not tarnish the good reputation of the victims of KL Auschwitz. Any interference in the integrity of the images – including cropping or graphic processing – is prohibited. The use of the images for commercial purposes requires the Museum’s approval and information about the publication.
