Schedule of events

The main commemoration event of the 79th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz will take place on 27 January 2024 in a tent above one of the preserved historical brick barracks at the Auschwitz II-Birkenau site.

The event is scheduled to begin at 6 pm.

After the first part (at around 6.45 pm), Survivors and guests will walk to the Monument for prayers and laying of candles.

The event will be streamed lived on Museum's YouTube and available at the open sector at the site of Birkenau.
