The main commemoration event of the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz will take place in the so-called central sauna building on the grounds of the former Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp. The television signal will be produced by Polish Television, which will make it available to all interested media.

The accreditation process for media covering the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz will take place from January 12 to 20, 2026.

The Memorial will organize a Press Center at the site of the former Auschwitz I camp in which the journalists will be able to follow the TV broadcast with translation. They will also be able to use the historical area for live broadcast. Except a small photo agency pool, the journalists will not be present at the main commemoration event room.
