Magdalena Urbaniak

She has been working at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum and Memorial since 1996. Initially, she worked at the International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust in Visitor Services and further in the Educational Projects as a coordinator of  international seminars and  summer academies. In 2015, she joined the New Main Exhibition team where she is responsible for reviewing content-related materials in respect of their educational values as well as drawing up recommendations on the methodology of guiding for the new exhibition.

She has Master’s Degree in English philology from the  Institute of English Cultures and Literatures at the University of Silesia, Katowice.  In addition, she completed post-graduate studies in Museum Studies at the Jagiellonian University, Cracow. Further, she has attended training courses related to museum and Holocaust studies in Germany, Israel and the United States.
